Roofing Project Begins!

On Monday, March 20th we began the project of replacing the tile roofs on the Church and Rectory. It is exciting to finally be able to address the issue of leaking roofs, and it is only possible due to the generosity and stewardship of our faithful parishioners! Soon you will begin to see all of the tiles, underlayment, gutters, and downspouts replaced with new, high-quality materials. While the look will be nearly the same, the effectiveness of the new tiles will be much better than what we've experienced in recent years. This months long roof replacement will have many different phases to navigate along the way, some of which will require patience on the part of all of us.

What to Expect

The Rectory will be first, which will have limited effect on our day-to-day operations. However, during the week, access to the parking lot from Cross Street will be reduced to just one entrance, since it will be necessary to close the entrance that is nearest to the Rectory. Also, once the job expands to include the Church, there may be times where access is restricted at some entrances to the Church and offices. We will communicate those changes via the website, email, and the bulletin. While some parking will be impacted, it appears we will be able to limit the loss of spaces to just a few on Sundays. Regarding daily Masses and funerals, the roofing crew will either suspend work or keep the noise to a minimum during those times. No work will be conducted on Sundays.

Thanks in advance for your understanding and patience as we work together to protect the beautiful buildings the Lord has blessed us with.

Thank You,
